PUBLIC MEETING WEDNESDAY
20th OCTOBER 2010, at the RED HOUSE, ALBRIGHTON
PROGRAMME
Following previous successful public meetings, which had attendances way beyond
our expectations and showed that residents are very keen to improve the appearance
of our village and district, we have organised another:-
Public Meeting & AGM at the Red House, Albrighton

will deal with Local Projects & Problems
Discussion
of the Society’s projects now underway including –
o
Improving
the appearance of the Village Entrances Scheme
o
Civic
Society Awards for Local Schools
o
Support
to Albrighton PC for refurbishment of the Rail Station
o
Proposals
to solve lack of adequate parking in Albrighton centre to help shoppers
o
Local
eyesores such as:- neglected streets & weed covered pavements, need to paint lamp posts & street furniture, The Old Smithy, Lea Cottage, Lea Manor Hotel..
Question & Answer
session and suggestions/contributions from the floor.
We
would be pleased to receive any suggestions for topics to include in the
discussion session - either at the meeting, or if sent to us a few days prior to the meeting may allow us to get someone to address the matter more formally.

Part
of the meeting will be the Annual General Meeting of the Society
where a new committee (and its Officers: Chairman, Secretary & Treasurer) will be elected. Nominations for the election of Officers and Committee Members shall be sent
to the Secretary (Elwood House, Cross Rd, Albrighton WV7 3RA) in writing together with the nominee’s written consent at least 7 days before
the Annual General Meeting. Such nominations shall be supported by a seconder and the consent of the proposed nominee must first have been obtained. The proposer, seconder & nominee shall be Society members. The nomination shall be by letter or on a
form available from the Secretary
